Successful Conclusions
Partner Derek Layser this spring successfully concluded two significant cases. One, a medical negligence case on behalf of a brain injured child, resulted in a settlement with the hospital where the child was delivered, settled for a significant seven-figure settlement with a portion of the settlement structured to provide a guaranteed income stream to the child for the rest of her life. The other, a case against a child care center where a 2-year old boy choked to death on a piece of food, settled for just under $1 million.
